About Boudoir, From Your Photographer - St. Louis Boudoir Photography
I know how empowering a boudoir session is because I have been in front of the camera. I think it’s SO important that we practice what we preach. Who am I to ask you to be vulnerable in front of the camera if I don’t have the courage to.
I have alway been self conscious of my size. I grew up being called anorexic on an almost daily basis. I remember running into my moms arms after school one day in the 7th grade, sobbing. I asked her why I wasn’t the same size as the other girls. I never felt sexy or beautiful. Being thin is a double edged sword because according to society I should look fantastic in anything ( I don’t, lol ) and its this AMAZING thing. I always felt guilty talking about my insecurities with my size. In reality I grew up not being able to fit any clothes and kept wondering when my curves were going to show up.
Well they never did!
But thats okay. I’ve learned that what I might lack in curves I make up for in other ways. I have also learned my lack of curves CAN’T stop me from feeling beautiful and sexy. I might be small but I am a STRONG WOMAN!
I might have small boobs but I have a HUGE PERSONALITY!
I will sashay down the street like I am THIIIIIICK!
I have learned that though my body might not be perfect, I am beautiful just as I am.
I looked at these photos and saw how sexy I am for the first time. I was literally saying “HOLY SH*T! Thats me!!!!”
Being beautifully empowered is about self love. It’s about taking your flaws and turning them into your strength.
Be Beautifully Empowered
